K9Recess Dog Walking & Doggie DayCare Adventure Programs

There is a world of dog care services available to the modern dog household. Our dogs today
have far more options & opportunities to learn, grow & socialize then our parent’s dogs ever
dreamed. This means many great, new adventures for our dogs, but also many new ways to
get into trouble! Solid training/socialization builds your dog's confidence, keeps him safe, and will
keeps you sane!
We have exercise & socialization options to fit dogs of all activity levels. Being a Petsathome® Member means we want to help your dog reach his/her full potential with a solid exercise program that includes our K9Recess Group Dog Walks or our Doggie DayCare Adventure Program. Our Programs are a healthy way for your dog to enjoy the outdoors and be allowed to experience the sounds, sights, smells (and the odd rabbit or squirrel that runs by!). We love being outdoors and so do the dogs! Petsathome® is a Registered, Insured and Bonded Company with 22 years of Serving Georgetown and Actons Pet Population. If you'd like more information please contact us at info@petasthome.ca or click above on our Contact Us Tab.
Purr-fect At Home ..... it's the Cats Me-ow!

Cats don't travel well, or board well either. As all cat owners know, they prefer to stay at home
to be waited on hand & foot. We can do that, and pick up any mail/flyers, clean food bowls and litter boxes each day and make sure that your cat is safe and happy in your absence. This allows you to relax and
enjoy your trip, knowing your cat is in the hands of Petsathome. We are a Registered, Insured and Bonded Company with 22 years of Serving Georgetown and Actons Pet Population. If you'd like more information and would like your cat(s) to become a Petsathome® Member, please contact us at info@petasthome.ca or click above on our Contact Us Tab.
Big or Small.... we walk 'em all!

Help for New Puppy Parents!
Now that you have selected your new puppy, you need to make sure that you, your family and even your home and property are prepared for the new addition.

Tips for New Puppy Parents
Why do cats get in such funny positions??

A cat's body is very fluid because their skeleton is flexible and light and their bones are strong. Cats have 500 muscles. With this structure and support a cat can move both halves of their body in opposing directions.
Did you know... that cats are very shy toileters? If you have just one litter box for your cat, and it is kept in a very commonly used area, he is likely to not want to use it and to toilet on your carpet somewhere else in the house instead!

ps........
A Dog Thinks, "Hey, those people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice, warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... They must be gods!" Dear Tabby !
Q. Why does my dog need a Dog Walking Service like Petsathome?
A. Let’s face it; As well informed, loving dog
guardians we know how important it is for our dogs to get regular exercise
and an opportunity to socialize with other dogs on a daily basis. A well exercised
dog is less likely to display destructive behavior in your home.
Providing a stimulating break during the day could help prevent separation
anxiety, which can be pain staking to treat. Also, giving your dog the gift of
time with other dogs will keep his social skills well oiled, thus preventing
behavior problems involving other dogs in the future. Because most of us
work full-time it is almost impossible for us to provide all of what our dogs
need without some help.
By hiring Petsathome® you get 20 years of knowledge in working with Dogs & Cats. Your Pet will receive Professional Care by a Staff who take great pride in making YOUR PETS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. All of our Staff is Insured & Bonded.
Send in your questions & Dear Tabby will answer them

What???....
Did You Know... Dogs display many different facial expressions.
Did You Know that dogs have an area of personal space just like humans.
Did You Know that most puppies are chewing machines.
Did You Know that puppies weren't born understanding the behaviors of people, especially children.
Did You Know that dogs do not suddenly misbehave when they get older.
Did You Know that when behaviors are intermittently reinforced, the behavior increases or strengthens over time.
Lend Me Your Ears
Some animals are more prone to ear disease, particularly infections and aural hematomas. Breeds with large floppy ears (spaniels and basset hounds) and those susceptible to allergies (terriers and retrievers) seem to have more infections and hematomas than others. Regular ear cleaning using non-medicated rinses (homeopathic's and herbal ear rinses containing tea tree oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil etc.) are particularly helpful in reducing ear odor and infections.

"PAWS FOR THE CAUSE"
Working everyday for the past 20 years with cats, dogs and other family pets I have come to see how they too can personally be affected by cancer in their family. The reality is our four legged friends are entirely dependent on their owners, so on behalf of all the animals, Petsathome® is honored to become a part of the Fight to End Breast Cancer.
